Malala Yousafzai was an education activist for girls in Pakistan long before her shooting when the world came to know her. She continues her campaign to help all girls learn and lead through the Malala Fund that works in developing countries around the world, to break down the barriers of poverty, war and discrimination that prevents over 130 million girls from going to school.

“If protecting bodies and empowering black lives aren’t at the center of your work, then you’re not here for black people.”

Loveland Foundation was established in 2018 by Rachel Cargle to help communities of color, and especially Black women and girls receive therapy support, so they access the healing they need. Through fellowships, residency programs, listening tours, and more, their mission is to empower, and ultimately liberate the communities that have suffered for centuries because of racial discrimination.
